Welcome to Ledger’s cake smash and first birthday photo session! This little guy took the phrase cake smash quite literally. He picked his cake right up and legitimately smashed the cake! I met Ledger’s family for the first time during his mother’s maternity photos for her oldest son a few years ago! Evers since then I have had the honor of photographing each boy’s maternity, newborn, six month, and one year photos. Ledger and his brother are only 13 months apart…. basically twins!! They are both super cute and I have enjoyed my time in the studio with both boys and their parents! I am so thankful for returning clients like this family. It means everything to me!

Now back to the most important things… Ledger’s cake smash! We did a few posed portraits with a few props like my antique chair, a stool, and wooden box! For the entire session we stuck with a blue and green theme, which I think is perfect for a little boy’s first birthday! Once we started the cake smash portion Ledger was changed into a little suspender’s outfit and if you know me, you know I LOVE a baby in suspenders! But it wasn’t long before he was covered in cake. I think baby Ledger was really sad when he smashed his cake on the floor… make sure you scroll all the way down to see a before and after photo. It will definitely make you giggle!!
