I may not know you…you may not know me, but we can all agree on one very important thing: baby Landyn has an amazing nursery!!! I’ll admit, I’m a little partial to studio sessions (though they’ve each got pros + cons in my book…more on that another day), but nothing compares to documenting a brand new babe in their first home environment with a lifestyle newborn photo session. Am I right or am I right?
Now that that’s out of the way, let me introduce you to to this sweet thing. I was so excited to come photograph baby girl L in her home a week after she was born, especially after meeting her parents during their maternity photos.
Every one always asks if the baby has to be asleep for the session. A lot of times, with lifestyle sessions, it really isn’t a big deal as long as the newborn is content. I can get lots of sweet shots while they are awake and it’s always fun to see their wide eyes if I am able to get one or two of them looking straight into the camera!
I love ‘being a fly on the wall’ in a brand new nursery and shooting those precious moments between mommy and baby like I did at Landyn’s session. We have some really sweet close up and intimate moments and then other images that show the entire room in all it’s glory. It is so great to be able to see those side by side to see the big picture and the details.
