Olivia is turning ONE! She came to see me for her one year and cake smash pictures. Mom wanted mint, pink, and gold …. I love the set up and Olivia loved the cake. It was a win-win.
Neutral set ups are so important to me. Want to know why?
Well, cake smashes are so much fun for everyone. But. What if they are a fad? Will mom and dad want the cake smash images hanging on the walls for 30+ years? Maybe. Probably. But neutral set ups are timeless. They are baby focused. Her personality shines right through and the simple colors and look will always be pretty and nice to look at. So, I don’t spend a lot of time on them, but I do suggest it for 6 month and one year photos.
I think one of the best things about a cake smash is that it is often baby’s first time having cake. So decorating the set and photographing her reactions are priceless. The colors are catered to each client and you never know if the little one will like it or not. Sometimes they dig in; other babies will hate it.
