Harland’s first birthday was a big celebration at Meredith June Photography! We started the day with family photos outside at a park close by to my studio and ended the day with a cake smash. I couldn’t believe how great Harland did with such a lengthy session, but it’s no surprise! I photographed his older sister Leola as a newborn and she was such a gem. It’s hard to believe a year has gone by, but I also photographed Harland’s newborn photos. I am so grateful to have him return, with his family, to celebrate his big one year milestone!

This could possibly be one of my favorite cake smash set ups of all time for baby boys. We did two different set ups. His parents and I decided on a blue and white theme for the posed portraits. We used my white space and blew up different shades of blue, balloons. It turned out to be such a cute and simple set up. I loved the cool blue tones. We ended the session with the cake smash portion. I used my white space with no additional props or colors and I am IN LOVE with how this turned out. It’s such a fun idea to combine outdoor photos with studio pictures. This is an easy and simple way to add variety to your gallery and to incorporate a few family photos.
