Theo’s first birthday was a success! He destroyed (get it, because cookie monster lol) his cake and had the best time doing it. I adore the cookie monster cake smash theme because it’s unique, fun and totally perfect for a boy! We pulled out all of the blue tones and cookies for this one. It’s the prefect cake smash inspiration session!

We started Theo’s first birthday photos with sibling pictures. His older sister is a doll! They were so cute snuggled up on my couch in the studio. Once I got what I needed, I grabbed a few individual shots of both kids. I especially love the close up shots of Theo. Before we started the cake smash portion, Theo did a quick change while I put the finishing touches on his set up. This is where the fun begins! He loved to play with the balloons and climb on the props. The highlight of the session was watching him eat his cake. He loved it and was so entertaining to watch!
