Fall is so beautiful in North Carolina! It’s not really cold yet, but the leaves start to turn, and the sun gets such a pretty glow to it in the late afternoon. Having the chance to shoot fall maternity photos in Charlotte is really a dream. Especially with this stunning family. They made it so fun and the images I was able to get became some of my favorites ever!

This location is definitely a go to for me in all seasons but it truly shows off Sept-Nov. The sunlight combined with the coloring of the leaves is just lovely. One thing I really love about this spot is how many different areas there are to get an amazing variety without walking very far at all in between each one. The photos below are probably only a quarter of their actual gallery! We got a ton!!

Maternity sessions are often best scheduled for somewhere between 30-34 weeks. It creates the opportunity to have a beautiful baby bump hopefully before the last stretch that can be uncomfortable combined with all the other last minute things that come with preparing for baby! Some of us are more lucky than others with the season our third trimester falls in (my first baby put me in January for maternity…..brrr!) but for those who don’t have such a beautiful time in Charlotte for photos, I do have a studio where I shoot lots during the colder months!
